Process for Reactivation of Inoperative/Dormant Accounts:

In line with the directions of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), customers of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) are hereby informed that:

  • The facility to activate inoperative/Dormant accounts and to carry out periodic KYC update is available with authorised Business Correspondents (BCs) of the Bank, wherever enabled.
  • This service can be availed at IPPB Branch/Banking outlets across India, irrespective of where your account was opened.
  • No charges / fees are levied by the Bank for activation of inoperative accounts or for periodic KYC update.
  • Customers are advised, in case of any change in their address, to get the same updated within 30 days. Customers are advised, in general, to keep their bank account information updated to ensure uninterrupted services and continued access to banking facilities.
